The AMAZING Lisa Cyr
The piece you see above THE MESSENGER, is life sized. I was able to get a glimpse of her work in progress as she allowed the viewers into her space online and was even more excited about her talents, heart and mindset. This person, I was certain, is a true original.
One day I saw art that stopped me in my high - heeled tracks. Instantly it resonated and I fell into art love. Of course I had to know more because I don't stop in awe and admiration that often. Exquisite!
This is Lisa Cyr, author of multiple books (two of which I own and love), accomplished “multidisciplinary” artist with a content driven approach and all around unique woman.
Her ability to convey a story through her poetic, rhythmic synthesis of drawing, painting, collage and assemblage, converts to a visually tactile, mixed media piece that takes the viewer into deeper and more expressive places. Multidimensional and multi-sensual, her work has the SOUL, feeling, message and heart.
I love the palette she uses - very much my preferred which really tickled me senseless.
Learning that she creates each and every bit of her work instantly brought me into admiration-of-the-artist mode. What! Drawn, painted, all parts made by her and assembled into a life sized piece of true art? She is a gift.
I immediately decided I wanted to know more. I interviewed Lisa on my blog a few years ago in what was a 3-day posting and to my honor and appreciation, Lisa offered us her time to share a bit about her world of fantasy and depth.
Lisa is responsible for the creation of many robust and beautifully written and imaged books, she speaks very successfully about promotional strategies, marketing opportunities and entrepreneurial endeavors for the creative industries and she gives very successful workshops.
She is an artist member of the Society of Illustrators in NYC and her credits are many.
Fun, talented and loaded with experience and joy, this woman’s mindset is one that will make your ears perk and your heart listen. I hope you take advantage of the opportunity to watch her and I as we journey through this interview.
Lisa many, many thanks.
