Don’t you find yourself saying the same thing each year? “It’s Christmas already”. December is filled with holiday festivities, fun and joy. It’s also filled with great smells from the kitchen and get togethers that either turn out to be fun or not. Stress is a biggie here too and it’s not fun to shop because you feel you MUST, rather shop because you feel generous. If you dislike shopping, why not adopt a family, a soldier, feed the homeless or randomly gift someone. It’s the spirit of this season, no matter what you celebrate, that creates the stress or the joy in all of us. If your perception of the season is a drag then it will be. It it’s filled with thoughts of spending time with family and friends, then that’s good too. If you are an artist, and many of my friends and followers are, gift a painting. Create some artwork, wrap a bow around it and put it in front of someone’s house, or gift a church, a school or your local baker. I makes no difference. It’s about how it makes you feel. My nephew and I made this huge gingerbread house about 5 years ago. We had started with little ones and over the years we graduated up to this; lights and all. It’s a great way to bond and it’s fun for that Christmas gathering. So enjoy the month and stretch out the spirit.
