Patience is the key to making the correct decisions. It's fact, and I know it to be true because it happened to me.
I was watching a "marketing webinar" and it seemed that I would be offered everything I currently wanted to learn to up-level and expand my art (and any) business. However, at the end of the webinar, I searched the name of the person and found multiple complaints online.
Now this is a very well - known person in their industry and NOT having purchased the product and going through the course, I will not mention their name. I think that's only fair.
However, it is obvious that the pattern I saw documented online matched with the "extension of offer to opt in", was always geared toward a breakdown of something or other.
If you are making 100's of millions of dollars, you shouldn't still be crashing servers etc. so that every new product forces the buyer to think they are at the end of the opt-in time..
Madeline, the point? Do your research and listen to your intuition closely before you put out money for something. I asked my heart what it knew. I listened and did even more research. Mmmm...I think I'll wait for people I know to refer this person to me.
While we all work for money, including me, because there comes a point where we all must charge for our knowledge, keep a lookout for patterns of crashing servers etc. that you can trace back to the beginning of their offerings years ago.
For example, it happened to this "expert" year after year, that the servers went down and they are multi-millionaires. Now by now you should have well paid teams to deal with this. If it happens once or maybe even a few times over a 15 year period it's probably true. If it's a habit...mmmmmmmmmmm...it's intuition time or run the other way.
Granted, If it is for real, it probably won't always happen. If it is always used as an "extension of offer to opt in" be sure to research and listen to your heart.
This isn't always going to be the case, but there are the 1 in a 100 who are good at it. On a good note, there are tons of legitimate people online working to ethically offer legitimacy and who honestly enjoy that they are helping you.
This is something that can save you money on your business budget and just think, you could buy more paint, brushes or digital programs. Or you could keep that investment for you own self-care. It's a balancing act for sure.
Here's to your intuition.
