It’s a fact that most people believe that Self-Care means being selfish. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. Actual self-care means that you know what you need to function physically, mentally and emotionally and you are certain to get what you need.
Remember that everything is a choice and if you believe you can’t “afford” to take care of yourself you are so wrong.
We tend to think of our achievements and goals all the time. We work ourselves to the bone. My beautiful artistic and creative friends can often be the worst at this. Being busy isn’t being productive and working till 2 and 3 a.m. isn’t going to make your work any more valuable.
We constantly expect so much of ourselves with little faith that we can work smarter and less hours for what we want. Eventually we tolerate discomfort at our own expense.
Self-Care is also an ongoing deal peeps. Madeline, I don’t have time. YOU DO. Everything we do is a choice. Everything we do is a step to the next and just as we have bad habits, and who doesn’t, we can cultivate good ones.
Our mind, bodies and mental capacity all need to be nourished and taken care of. Each and every thing that you do is an accomplishment so start with small things
You’ve got this and you are enough.
